This set includes a Hario V60 Dripper Kasuya Model and 100 paper filters.

This dripper is easy to use for beginners while providing the precision professionals demand. Produced by Tetsu Kasuya, Philocoffea Founder/Owner, first Asian World Brewers Cup World Champion, and Hario official partner.

Under Kasuya's supervision, the ribbed shape of the traditional Hario V60 dripper has been customized. It allows you to brew denser coffee, even with coarse ground coffee powder. Comes with a V60 measuring spoon.

This dripper is designed for the 4:6 extraction method, dividing the total water into 40% and 60%. You pour the first 40% in two pours and then decide how many pours you want to make for the last 60%.

The first 2 pours decide the balance of the acidity and sweetness. The remaining number of pours will decide the strength of the coffee. The goal is to make the coffee clearer and more defined in terms of its natural flavor.

The key to using this dripper is to use a coarse grind. Try to grind coarser than you think you should. However, this can cause the coffee to be thinner than it should be. Thus, this dripper has been designed to eliminate the ribbing in its bottom portion, which deliberately slows down the hot water drop.

We have worked with Hario to determine how many ribs should be removed, millimeter by millimeter. As a result, this dripper allows you to make a robust and dense coffee even if you use a coarse grind.

However, experienced baristas can experiment with fine grinds. For example, the 2018 Brewers Cup winner, Wilford Jr., won using this dripper with a fine grind.
