Thank you for visiting Philocoffea.
We’re delighted to introduce a beautiful coffee from Colombia.
<La Indonesia>
Located in El Páramo, Nariño, in southern Colombia at an altitude of 1,800 meters, La Indonesia Farm is home to producer Juliana Erazo and her exceptional Pink Bourbon coffee.
(And yes — we also did a double take at the name “La Indonesia” for a Colombian farm!)
Juliana hails from Taminango, where she grew up in a family of coffee producers. Over the past 20 years, she has worked through the process of organic conversion, continuously developing sustainable and environmentally conscious coffee production. She experiments with various processing methods such as washed and honey, always striving to bring out the best expression of her coffees.
The Nariño region is blessed with volcanic soil and dramatic temperature differences between day and night, allowing coffee cherries to ripen slowly. This slow maturation produces coffees with a beautiful balance of acidity and sweetness. While preserving traditional cultivation methods, many producers in Nariño are actively improving their processing and fermentation techniques, leading to remarkable growth in cup quality across the region.
This particular lot was harvested at full ripeness, then depulped and fermented for about 36 hours before being dried indoors without washing, and finally hulled and finished.
Through this unique process, Juliana captures the signature floral aroma and vivid acidity of Pink Bourbon, along with a gentle sweetness and juicy fruit character distinct from the typical washed profile.
Juliana shares,
“It makes me happy to know our coffee reaches people around the world and that they can enjoy the rich flavors of Nariño.”
Her words truly reflect the dedication and passion poured into this coffee — a cup that carries the heart of Juliana and the spirit of her community.
