"V&G"
V&G, short for Vargas and Gutierrez, is situated in the San Juanillo area facing the Pacific Ocean in West Valley. It's an estate that began in 2007, spearheaded by agronomist Tomas Gutierrez and engineer Allan Vargas. Their aim is to establish a model for sustainable coffee production by embracing innovative approaches such as the adoption of hybrid varieties and efficient fertilizer utilization. The coffee featured this time is also a hybrid variety called "H1," developed in the research institute. It exhibits resistance to rust disease and notably yields significantly more compared to varieties typically grown in Central America, with an increase in harvest ranging from 22% to 47%. Nearly 50%... It's remarkable how the yield varies significantly depending on the variety, even with the same land area! They incorporate scientific methods into farm management to enhance quality, yield, and disease resistance.
This time, we've prepared a robust dark roast! The beans have a glossy and smooth surface, presenting a beautiful appearance. Amidst its bitter notes, you'll find berry-like sensations reminiscent of raisins and blackcurrants, characteristic of the natural process. As it cools, you'll also notice a sweetness akin to dried fruits such as tamarind and dried pineapples. It's a coffee that becomes increasingly vibrant with each sip. Enjoy its rich, smooth texture to the fullest.
