Thank you for stopping by Philocoffea. I'm Kasuya, the owner.
We made a dip-style coffee with Geisha beans from Floripondio, one of our favorite farms.
It's been a while since we've had a washed process Geisha. It's too good to be true. These are incredible Geisha beans.
Recently, strongly fermented Geisha has been popular, and we often sell it. Still, Geisha is characterized by its gorgeous jasmine-like flavor, and this coffee is a perfect expression of that characteristic.
This time, we are using the Geisha variety produced at Floripondio, a plantation managed by the Rodriguez family and led by Pedro Rodriguez in Bolivia. He is famous in the gourmet coffee field.
I asked Pedro once, "Why don't you make coffee with a special fermentation process?"
I'll never forget when he answered, "Coffee cherries grown in our farm have a taste like a diamond in the rough as it is. We don't need to do anything special to make it taste like a diamond."
I was so impressed that I fell in love with them and had to go to Bolivia to see their farms and efforts. After seeing them in person, I begged to do business with them, and the rest was history.
We made dip-style bags to make it easy for anyone to enjoy the taste of this exquisite Geisha coffee without any mistakes.
Whether you want to try premium coffee but are worried about whether you can brew it yourself, or you want to buy a little luxury coffee for your home or as a gift, this top quality Bolivian Geisha is for you.
- Place one bag in a cup or tumbler
- Add 50 g of hot water (about 93 °C)
- Steam for 30 seconds
- Pour an additional 130 grams of hot water
- Shake the bag about 10 times.
- Wait 3 minutes
- Remove the bag
(If you want to make it easier, you can pour 180 grams of hot water all at once.)
If you want it to be a little thicker, try reducing the hot water slightly or shaking it a bit more before taking the bag out.
This coffee has a very pleasant floral, sweet, and sour aroma with hints of jasmine. It is sweet, like a well-ripened grapefruit. Meanwhile, you may notice some floral notes like elderflower and rosehip. It has flavors reminiscent of raspberries.
It is an authentic Geisha flavor.
Please take your time to enjoy it, as it will become much more delicious after it cools down. This will give you the best coffee experience.
While this coffee is ideal for a gift, we hope you will feel free to use it as a reward for yourself as well.
